5 Days of New Year's Essentials - Day 5: Organization

A great way to start your New Year fresh is by organizing your spaces. Before you get overwhelmed at the thought of organizing your entire house, I'm only recommending a few spaces! Keeping your entire house organized 24/7 sounds like a full-time job to me! But I do believe that we should keep areas that we frequent organized.

Below I'll talk about some easy ways to make our most popular spaces more organized and accessible.

Velvet Hangers | Leggings Hanger | Shower Storage | Acrylic (Clear) Drawers

Our bedrooms and bathrooms can get cluttered and messy so easily. Whether we're taking out making, finding an outfit, or separating laundry, a lot happens in these rooms!

An easy way to keep your closet organized is by using velvet hangers. The velvet holds onto all fabrics and prevents clothes from sliding off.

I also found this hangers that is designed to hold leggings. This is great if you're like me and love your leggings! I have at least 15 pairs in different colors and styles. This hanger will keep them organized and give you some more room in your drawers.

The acrylic shower shelves are a great alternative for a shower caddy or if you just need extra storage space. They stick onto virtually any surface, are easy to clean, and will prevent your products from cluttering the edges of your tub or shower.

These acrylic drawers are perfect for storing small items. I use mine for nail polish/tools, pads and tampons, and additional skincare and hair care products. I like using the drawers instead of bins so that they can be stacked and easily accessible.

This tumbler and water bottle shelf is great! I’ve accumulated quite a few travel cups the last few years and storing them can be really difficult. I love how this one displays them and you don’t have to reach behind any other cups. This organizer comes in several different sizes. 

Another difficult item to store in the kitchen is pots and pans. This expandable organizer is a great way to store pots and pans so that they are easily accessible and don’t get damaged by other cookware items. 

Clear storage bins in a refrigerator are my kryptonite! They’re so satisfying to see! Keeping the fridge clean and organized is a daily chore. It’s so easy for items to get lost in the back of the fridge and go bad. The clear storage bins allow you to see your items and pull them out so you can access the items in the back.

Handbag Holders | Makeup Case (Storage for small items) | Trunk Organizer

I commute to and from work everyday, so it’s important to me that my car is clean for me. It’s great having your car fully stocked, but it’s not great if you can’t find anything. 

This makeup case with a clear front and back is great for small items such as a gum/mints, hand lotion or sanitizer, hair ties, clips, and Bobbi pins, deodorant, etc. 

The handbag hooks are great for your handbags, but they’re also great for any shopping bags or backpacks etc. You can hook them to any headrest and they are easy to spin around if needed. 

This trunk organizer is great for storing any items that “live” in your car such as reusable shopping bags, back up snacks and drinks, umbrellas, car cleaning supplies, blankets or sweaters, etc. The organizer can be folded to provide more room in the trunk. 

I hope this blog has shown you that you don't have to have everything perfectly organized, but small changes will be noticeable! Organization is a constant task, so don't beat yourself up if you have to go back and re-organize. It's simply a tool to help in daily life.
